февраля 20 Farewell to Another Piece of MS BSWith no regrets whatsoever. After too many years of struggling with IE and thousands of dollars of valuable productivity flushed down the drain, I've finally taken what has turned out to be a far easier step than I'd worried about taking, and left IE behind. The difference in productivity quite perceptible immediately. Great move. Now, to free my work of the bad influence of all the rest of Microsoft's poor quality. This particular corner was from the outset just as poor as the rest of MS low standard, following far behind where others long ago led, without coming even close to providing any level of reliability or professional service. Being typical MS, they won't care - every single user of their's is only just another individual to shrug off. They don't understand how many I am taking with me, how many others like me are taking with us, how much they are losing every single day from ones like us from whom they've stolen just one too many times without the slightest shrug. Arrogance combined with low quality won't succeed. So then, this too joins IE and the other pieces of MS I've trashed the past few weeks, with more to follow, from my computer and others in my company and others over whom I have influence, not to mention from the growing crowd of other users like me. Goodbye and the best of riddance! февраля 04 Fugue: Pilot pension ruling debatedPilot pension ruling debated Currently seen as unlikely to affect this particular plan termination, just might affect the venue for future struggles. февраля 03 Fugue: Turkmenistan despot axes pensionsTurkmenistan despot axes pensionsMakes the U.S. pension ice age look like a tropical day in paradise by comparison. Fugue: Boehner Elected House Majority LeaderBoehner Elected House Majority LeaderWill this development speed up the pending pension legislation or make it more likely to pass as currently composed? I'm not inside on this one, but I doubt it. Boehner was highly instrumental in the formulation of the House version, yes, and certainly will not lose any of his influence by stepping up into the House Majority Leader's powerful role. All the same, the next step is simply nothing more than the next step: the bill heads to a joint House-Senate conference. Even with his new muscle, Boehner is only another conferee there. For my two cents, I'd still not expect a final bill before late March, and there remains the distinct possibility that it could drag past that. |
